Welcome To MUNIK V
Model United Nations IBA Karachi is an academic simulation of the organs of the United Nations hosted by the students of the Institute of Business Administration. MUNIK V is scheduled from January 30th to 2nd February, 2014 and will be held in Karachi at the IBA, Main Campus.

Since its inception in 2010, MUNIK has been led by the purpose to provide students an opportunity to understand international affairs, develop an awareness of current events and appreciate the complexity of global issues and world politics. The impact of globalization and the subsequent demise of rigid national boundaries have made it essential for the leaders of tomorrow to be familiar with the geographic, social and economic standings of various international organizations and countries. Not only is this exercise driven by the need to nurture informed citizens and leaders but is also committed to equip delegates with the skills to communicate, negotiate & collaborate.

For 2014, the MUNIK theme is ‘Dissolving Disparity, Driving Development’. Delegates of MUNIK V are expected to focus on the growing inequality around the word and what we can do to stop this trend.  The challenge is to experience & think about the disputes in the Euro-zone, the Middle East & Gaza and at the same time focus on policies and decisions being formulated in the United States of America that are affecting the lives of the common man in Morocco.

Every year the conference is hosted in the city of Karachi giving the delegates a chance to explore and relish the beauty of what has been declared as the city of lights in Pakistan. From the deep sea waters stretched across the entire coastline of the city to the cultural festivities that adorn this cosmopolitan, delegates will truly enjoy the experience of living in Karachi.
